Hi,
I am afraid to say that I don't
think I will be coming back to David - or at least not right now - he's just too
damn good! Thank you so much A*** |
Dear David, Just a quick update 3 months on. After 14 weeks I have now lost a total of 2 stone but more importantly, 5 points off my BMI and two dress sizes. I feel lighter, happier and more positive. The food I'm eating is fantastic and I'm not the miserable hag I normally am when attempting to diet. Thanks again. I will update you again in another couple of stones time! M****** |
Hi David,
I just thought I'd send a quick
message to let you know my progress. It has only been a few days
since my final session, however, amazingly I have left food on my
plate for the last 3 days.....something that has never happened
before. And my reasons for doing it were purely because I was full.
(I never thought I'd see the day!)
All in all, I feel so much better
and the changes bit by bit are becoming more noticeable, so I am
over the moon so far.
Best wishes S**** |

Why do people become overweight? 1). By eating too quickly - are you always the first to finish? Did you even taste your dinner or did you just shovel it in? Did you enjoy the flavours, texture and aroma of your meal? Do you feed rather than eat? Hypnotherapy will help you slow down your eating and allow you to actually enjoy eating and become an eater rather than a feeder.2). By eating to compensate for boredom, lack of love, loneliness - do you find yourself reaching for the cookie jar when you have nothing to do, or when you are alone or you have been dumped? Hypnotherapy will enable you to fully understand your emotions, your reactions to them and allow you to break the link that your subconscious has between emotions and food. 3). By eating to reward themselves - had a good day...deserve a treat? Rewarding yourself with food might seem a good idea at the time but will only lead to the pounds piling on. Hypnotherapy will enable you to fully understand why you need to reward yourself and once again break the link that your subconscious has between reward and food. 4). By always clearing their plates - do you ever leave food on your plate? Why not? Don't want to waste it? Was it the way you were taught when young? Do you sit on the settee and just pile the food into your mouth while you watch your favourite soap? Hypnotherapy will help you slow down your eating and allow you to feel the 'stop sign' that tells you when you are full. This factor alone will reduce your food intake dramatically by ensuring that you eat 'consciously'. 5). By skipping meals and eating low fat foods - people who skip meals and eat low fat food are messing around with their metabolism. The brain and the stomach get mixed messages when you eat this way. When eating a low fat yoghurt the brain tells the stomach that there is food on the way, but when it arrives it doesn't produce the satisfaction that was expected. Skipping meals also causes the metabolism to slow down and not process food as efficiently as it should. Hypnotherapy will motivate you to embark upon a regular and healthy eating regime. 6). By overeating to protect themselves - does the thought of attention from the opposite sex cause you to call for a pizza? Is your partner quite happy with your size and a slimmer you could be a temptation to stray? Do you find yourself yo-yoing when on diets? Hypnotherapy will allow you to explore the root causes of why you eat to protect yourself and allow you to move on and successfully lose weight but permanently this time. ARE YOU AN EMOTIONAL EATER...Click here to find out |

You can see there are many reasons why people become overweight but in almost all cases, the reasons they began overeating are anchored in their past, some emotional event or trauma that caused them to begin eating for security, self-preservation or protection. The memory of the event remains sealed in their subconscious, even if their conscious mind has forgotten it. |

How can hypnotherapy help you to lose weight?
As mentioned above, traditional dieting strategies don't work for emotional eaters. In fact, research shows that over 90% of diets fail with 30% of people actually gaining weight following a diet. The subconscious mind has a deep-rooted need for excess food because of an emotional event from the past and dieting is NOT the solution. The emotional event in question needs to be remembered and 'fixed' before any long term progress can be made with regards to weight loss. A course of hypnotherapy sessions will allow the subconscious to take the client back to the emotional event or events that are causing this attitude towards food. These are the first steps in eliminating the subconscious desire for excess food. Next, a new attitude towards food needs to be created and this is done whilst in hypnosis together with self help at home using CD's we provide. As well as changing your attitude towards food, you will change your attitude towards yourself and be more aware of a desire to be healthier. Once these attitudes have become permanent, new eating habits will have been formed. You will begin to enjoy food for the correct reasons, eat only when hungry, stop when full. You will feel in total control of your life, get fitter, lose weight and keep it off...PERMANENTLY! |
"I know we said that this
process was not about the "d-word", but interestingly without consciously
altering my approach to food,
I seem to have lost a stone in weight since I first saw you in the
summer. I seem to eat whatever I want
and I certainly haven't been aware of giving anything up. The good news
is that I don't turn to food when I'm under stress" D****

Dear David, Guess what...I have given up chocolate after being a self confessed chocoholic for as long as I can remember. Also, I used to drink between five and eight cups of coffee or tea each day, but now I only drink water and herbal tea. I now make a fresh salad every day to take to work rather buying a sandwich. All of this has been easy and I must confess, I feel that I have achieved more than I ever thought I would, I never ever thought I could give up chocolate!! L***

Hi David,
Just a quick note to thank
you for the help you gave me with my eating problems and an update about how
I am getting on.
When I came to see you I
was compulsively eating food that I was not enjoying when I was not
hungry. I had absolutely no control over my food intake at all, and was
spending a lot of mental energy on feeling guilty about food. Having done
the sessions with you I am eating better food only when hungry and am
enjoying it more because I actually need it and because I don't have any
guilt associated with my eating. It genuinely has made a difference to my
quality of life, so thank you very much.

Dear
David
The food situation I think is well and truly under control. Sometimes I do think oh I really need chocolate because I am having a bad day but then when I get it I may have a little bit and then am not too bothered about it anymore. It’s really weird to explain although I’m sure I’m not the only person to feel this way. I eat what I want when I want. There are days when I may forget to each because I have been busy or had other things on my mind to pre-occupy me. I have lost a dress size and inches over the last 3mths – because of how I am eating and also because of my attitude to exercising. I really enjoy it and can see the benefits it is giving me. hypnotherapy is therapy carried out whilst in hypnosis. What is Hypnosis? Literally it is a heightened state of awareness during which the subconscious mind is able to accept positive suggestions. By Weight Control it doesn't necessarily mean weight loss or weight gain for cosmetic reasons but also for eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia. The hypnotherapist will also be able to help with the sleep disorder insomnia. You can be taught self hypnosis to allow you to learn relaxation, to make that change in your life. Do you have a phobia? Phobias such as fear of spiders, fear of flying and claustrophobia can all be helped with HYPNOSIS. If you suffer from panic attacks, depression lack of self esteem or self confidence, a few sessions with an experienced HYPNOTHERAPIST will leave you free from your fears and allow you to change your life for the better.
