Hypnotherapy clinic based in London, specialising in hypnosis for poor self confidence and low self esteem

What happens when your self-esteem is low?   Initially you will totally lose the ability to identify any of your good points. You will become your own harshest critic and you will feel unworthy and incompetent. You will find that you can’t handle criticism in either your professional or private life. You will be acutely aware of errors that you have made in the past and this will prevent you from taking risks of any kind in the future, e.g. socially, financially or professionally. You find it more difficult to meet people, interview for a job, or strive for success in the face of possible failure. You set yourself up as a perfectionist with impossible targets that are bound to fail. Having low self esteem will take an enormous toll on the quality of your life as you weave your way through trying to avoid anything that could aggravate the pain that you are feeling.

What causes low self esteem?   It is found that in most cases of poor self esteem that the seeds of negativity were sown in the person's mind at an early age. Whether it was years of 'putting down' by a parent, relative or teacher, those seeds develop into an adult with low self-image.

How can hypnotherapy help low self esteem?  You cannot change history and get new parents but through hypnosis you can do something about the current thoughts and images that keep you locked into low self-esteem. Through a series of regression sessions, your subconscious will take you back to those times when for example, you were called 'stupid' or told that you would 'never make anything of your life' . This will allow you to reprogram your beliefs and goals in a more productive useful way, thus increasing your self-confidence. You will also be taken through a series of visualisation exercises to see the 'new you' and how good you appear and these images are then firmly planted in your mind. Hypnotherapy can help you overcome any future negative self talk by this improving of your self-image and preventing any negative input.

What clients say...
Hi David,

Just a quick email to say that thankfully my presentations have been going very well and my breathing has been calm. The quality of my presentations last week was ok but as we know the real success for me would be not having trouble getting my words out. Whilst I was nervous I was in control. This confidence enabled me to do a really good presentation in Paris and take me back to the days I could present without a whole other fear going on. This of course is a huge relief for me not least because I will spend so much time in future presenting (I have yet another one in the morning).

I am extremely grateful to you for having the talent to allow me to overcome my problem - without success I could never continue with the job I really enjoy.

Best wishes

J****
Dear David,

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the help you have given me. I admit that I was somewhat sceptical initially but very open to the experience and I am very glad that I was. I have learnt a lot about myself and I feel so much more in control of myself and of the situations around me. Now I feel I can move forward rather than simply reacting to 'life'.

The 'baggage' that I have lugged around for 40 odd years can now be left, nay thrown away thanks to you. Truthfully I haven't liked myself much but I am beginning to believe that there maybe something that has changed here!

Thank you and best regards

Dear David,

I spoke in my staff meeting today, and though I felt nervous about it, it all went fine, and I didn't blush or feel hot at all.  I am going to try and speak at every meeting now!  These things mean so much to me.

I feel a whole lot better about life generally, and feel I have more direction too!  Thank you so much for all that you have helped me with.  I feel you have really helped me in so many ways!

Kind Regards,

S****

Dear David,

You asked for some feedback ok: here goes: I know that things are happening, at first it happens and then it is only afterwards that I look back and at times cannot believe that I am standing up for myself and asserting myself, I am not thinking about this. It does feel very strange when I look back on this.  Food - I am coping better - there are still good and bad times but i am beating myself up less.  I am less conscious of what I am eating at times and  this seems to becoming better and better each week.  I do feel a lot lighter in my whole approach to this.  Even to the extent that I do laugh to myself afterwards - which I feel is a very good sign.  Some of the things that have previously bothered me are not there but to list them would be difficult all I know is I feel less stressed.

I feel that I am thinking about how to sort out issues with people, that instead of blanking them and moving away hurt, trying to think of ways to sort them out.  This has always been an issue as when I have met people out, either that I am unsure of or feel that they do not like me, I either put my head down or try to ensure that they do not see me.  This now seems totally stupid to me and I feel I can now just make eye contact and say hello.  People used to say that I am stand offish and rude, but this is not what I mean to be I just always wanted to run and hide.  I also think that over the years that I have got very good at this and it has been the easy option.

My other half has said that I am so much calmer and funnier as when he makes what I would consider a snide or hurtful remark I am making a joke or light of it.

David the difference is inside, I feel happier, lighter in body and mind and much more relaxed. I know at first you thought I would be very difficult and perhaps not an easy person to work with but believe me the difference our sessions have made with you listening to my garbage have made me feel so different.

Thank you

Avanti Hypnotherapy can help you to help yourself to make that desired change in your life

hypnotherapy is therapy carried out whilst in hypnosis. What is Hypnosis? Literally it is a heightened state of awareness during which the subconscious mind is able to accept positive suggestions. HYPNOTHERAPY can help you with anger control, weight control and to make you stop smoking. By Weight Control it doesn't necessarily mean weight loss or weight gain for cosmetic reasons but also for eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia. The hypnotherapist will also be able to help with the sleep disorder insomnia. You can be taught self hypnosis to allow you to learn relaxation, to make that change in your life. Do you have a phobia? Phobias such as fear of spiders, fear of flying and claustrophobia can all be helped with HYPNOSIS. If you suffer from panic attacks, depression lack of self esteem or self confidence, a few sessions with an experienced HYPNOTHERAPIST will leave you free from your fears and allow you to change your life for the better.
